150th post: a lonnnng friday

Uni today.
Met four new people today: James, Tim, Jamaine and Mark. Also ran into Casey Dann, Paris and Brody today too. It was a good day until now.

Because I think jason’s upset with me because I have too many male friends… and he probably feels insecure about it and calls me a guy attracter…

I don’t know what to do, I can’t change who I am. The guy friends I have in my life right now are good friends and I value them very much. But I just don’t know what to do… I can’t change who I am, and it seems I can’t change his attitude either.

Also, he’s probably upset because I can’t see him on Sunday either… for his little ‘surprise’ outing..

Tomorrow afternoon we’re having a family BBQ, but right now I’m not really in the mood to entertain my little cousins…

I thought this week was finally looking up, but hey, a bad week is a bad week. What can I say…

But for some odd reason, Nghi just knows when im feeling down or something but its nice to talk to him again :) we’re talking about nicknames and Japanese schoolgirls on campus tours of UQ :)

Kipper the black moor goldfish was terribly sick because his telescope eyes were infected and when I bought the medicine to cure it, he didn’t make it through the second night because it was terribly cold and passed away during the night.. I buried him underneath dads rose bush right in the right corner of the rose bush section of our backyard in a small white box lined with tissue paper.

Sunday, 25th July 2010
Studied and met up with Jason in the afternoon at the village to stop by the Sunday markets to buy more goldfish food for Twinky, even though there was still enough for only one goldfish… Also bought another 1000 piece puzzle that day, I also said something out of line and Jason got upset and ignored me half the day. Stopped by work to drop off emergency contact details and drivers license for ID. Then went to the lake to feed ducks (and two megaducks/megageese). Bad start to the day, but I guess it wasn’t so bad.

Monday, 26th July 2010
Had uni again, Jason took the day off to do his assignments and at the last minute decided to visit me at uni. Met up with Nhu and Jason and then went to eat Hanaichi together before meeting up with Chad at the funhouse and then me and Jason left to go to a super fun marketing lecture for two hours (sarcasm). Didn’t meet up with Nhu and Chad after that, so me and Jason went to eat at sushi delight and go karaoke *ahem*.

Had work from 10 to 6.30pm. It was one of my slow days where I feel like a Snorlax on hot chocolate (otherwise known as: Leanne is so sleep she could fall asleep standing up anywhere). Served customers and got blamed for letting a customer stealing a 1.5L drink. But it was cleared up that I did charge him the cost of the drink at the time of order ($3.90 to be exact). Closed down, did so many dishes the skin on my hands were starting to peel :(

Which is precisely today, had uni at Kelvin grove for the first time and I wanted to pee my pants and after my two hour lecture on means, variance and standard deviations; spent half an hour trying to find room 202b in B block, after eventually finding it had some more trouble finding the library in R block and sitting in a corner filling out next weeks schedule in my daily planner. Went to tutorial at 1pm and ran into Kaitlyn, Chloe, Sarah, Jeremy and his asian friend.

I only talked to Kaitlyn though, coz I’m a turtle that way (turtle analogy means, Leanne is too much of an arse and too chicken to say hi coz she’s scared out of her pants being at KG and certainly not in the best mood to strike up wonderful conversation).

Then left to the city again and headed home because Alex missed her tutorial and went home (we were supposed to meet up, but oh well). So I took the bus home and ran into Lou and talked the whole bus home.

Basically my day so far, unless you count making pancakes and watching the Simpsons… but for now I’m going to go shower and then do some study before watching Simpsons again at 7.30pm

Like I said, I’m not having the best week and I haven’t been blogging it in here but yeah…

For now I might be all happy dandy blahblah but everythings not always how it looks, but I’ll be alright. I know I will

fettucine carbonara for nine months (and one day)

Today I skipped my second uni lecture at Kelvin Grove. I know I’m gonna be screwed when I REALLY need to be there for a lecture but come on it was a lecture on methods of research – bottom line, its GAY.

So I went to see Jason instead because he was making me a surprise for our nine months (and officially, one day) and turns out Jason gave it away by asking me how to do certain things in the kitchen and he goes and copy and pastes from the website ‘blahblahblah cook the bacon and add some cream, eggs and blahblahblah then toss into the pasta’

Key word: pasta.

Jason failed so bad :)

I just don’t get it. Anyone who plans a surprise for me fails. I bet its coz of my super clairvoyance and the idea that I am so awesome I can see right through the surprise MUAHAHAHHAHAHA
Nah its not that. Jason just failed :)

But yeah, got to jason’s place and cooked together.. only after we had sex first.

The fettucine carbonara (FAVOURITE PASTA EVAAAAAAAAAR) turned out really good only we cooked the carbonara sauce too slow and the egg scrambled and it was really depressing but it was so yummy and we were so full after that! But whatever that was leftover had to be thrown out because all the egg scrambled and when the egg is scrambled its NOT YUMMY ANYMORE >___<

Teehee then we did it another 2 and a half times (half because we didn’t finish off, yeah we’re badass like that)

Then at 3.30, left jason’s place to go to the city and then we went to go pee, win 2 totodiles from the $2 machines of awesomeness, and eat at little Singapore in albert lane. But I REALLY wanted to go to the tea shop and try their tea, it was so nice in there… I want to try it! >_<

But that’s all that happened today, tomorrow I have work from 10 – 2 at the fish and chip shop and then after that hardcore study until night because I have a bit of catching up to do and study for Friday’s lectures… = =

On to the same boring shite:

Today was my first day at work! A fish and chip shop at the village and when I woke up at 9 this morning I stayed in bed until 9.30am because I thought my stomach was going to poop for several reasons

Today is mums birthday and I forgot to wrap her gift

Today is me and Jason’s nine months and I haven’t wrapped his gift yet either

And today is the first day of work, in the last 8 months I haven’t found work or ANYTHING but finally something just randomly POPS up (on facebook actually, as a notification) that AJ’s mum needs someone to help out at her shop on Tuesdays and badadingbadaboom I now have a job at a local fish and chip shop :)

I can officially say I work in the same industry as Jason!

Well when I was on my way there this morning, mum was driving me and I got a call from AJ and she’s all like ‘err hey, where are you? You’re supposed to be at work at 10am’ and by then it was like 10.20am and I’m shitting my pants and mums next to me and she’s giving me the ‘you failed big time, they’re not gonna call you in next week coz you just shit your pants and you’re late’

So I got there explained why I was late – it was very legit! I was told 10.30am okays? Its not my fault, something must have happened communication wise but either way I’m either 20 minutes late, or 10minutes early.

And when I got there I was briefed about how everything kinda works, where most things were, that I’d learn where everything was and how to do everything over time and that I needed to wash the cutlery extra careful coz customers were complaining about dirty cutlery. Nice.

So then I did dishes for ages, and then was sent outside to watch Trent serve customers and after watching him serve two or three manager is all ‘okays, go serve this next customer’ and I might have peed my pants saying ‘hi, how can I help you?’

Yeahh… and I don’t know the prices either so I was so confused D:

But then AJ came and helped here and there and taught me about stuff and PHEW I was so lucky. But I learnt a lot and I had fun doing it (even though there were dishes full of oily stuff and floating bits of crumbs in it) but overall I think I did really well for a first day where I’ve never served a customer in my life (apart from children) and serving anything besides toast, fairy bread, spaghetti and baked beans, and for me that’s REALLY good considering my brain is always floating up somewhere near the exosphere somewhere.

Anyways it was a good day :)

I’m being paid 10 bucks an hour and the work isn’t horribly demeaning and difficult, and compared to ABCC and getting a measly pay of $8.60 then I’m pretty satisfied. :)

I’ll be off now, I have uni tomorrow, but since the lecture is on research methods and some other shite – I’m gonna go see Jason instead coz I love him more than research methods and shite.

semester two with nhu and chad :)

a red panda to bless you with its cuteness xD

Today I had my first day of university, semester two, first year. It was really fun actually! (apart from the lecture on marketing)

I got to the city at 2pm (actually a little later than that) and met up with Nhu and we went shopping to buy mum a gift for her birthday tomorrow and find something for Jason because it is also our nine months tomorrow :)

In the end I bought mum two DVDs of the lord of the rings (she loves the lord of the rings) but I didn’t get the second disc of the trilogy because the case wasn’t special edition :( will go back and hunt for it! And I bought Jason a movie too, but that’s a secret for now :)

So then we went to Hanaichi for sushi for lunch but when we got there it was exactly 3pm and they close for lunch at EXACTLY 3pm. It was a little disappointing because I wanted the sashimi platter :(

But then instead we headed to Aroma Gardens and I had lasagne and grilled chicken for Nhu. Then we split ways and I headed to my lecture and Nhu met up with Chad!

At 6.30pm met up with Nhu again and Chad came too. At the time I didn’t know who this guy was and when I got introduced I didn’t quite catch his name so we stood there being confused for a while before I finally got it hahaa so then we decided we weren’t really hungry yet and thought we’d go play tekken because Chad likes tekken too and he beats Nhu quite a bit too teehee

Versed Chad twice, Nhu once, and I beat them both! HARR HARR before I got owned by some random though.. haha he was a nice random though, while I was freaking out and making faces and saying ‘OHMYGOD I SUCK I’M GONNA GET PWND’ he turned around and said ‘hey, I’m still new at this too so you don’t have to worry’ which I thought was real nice :)

But he pwnd me anyway.

Still, he seemed like a nice guy :)

So then we decided we wanted to a) play pool, b) karaoke or c) go bowling. But in the end we went to go karaoke and it was SO much fun! Backstreet boys, the Darkness, YMCA, Jackson 5, Britney Spears, Barbie girl! And our final song was Accidentally in Love – who could not love that song? Its so upbeat and fun! And it was heaps fun coz we danced and attempted to belly dance and Chad makes the best backup dancer ever and he’s not tone deaf either :D

And Chad bought juice for us too! Well not juice technically, it was milk tea but it was in a big juice popper like thing so me and nhu called it juice anyway

It went down a little like this:

Then after karaoke we realised our buses didn’t arrive until 9pm so we bummed around outside hungry jacks throwing chips at each other and dropping chips into the fountain and racing our French fries to see whose could make it to the other end of the water feature fastest (I won. Harr harr.) threw chips at Chad, played the thumb game, talked about tekken, laughed at how Nhu’s gonna get put into the Guinness Records Book for being able to stall an automatic car and yeahh it was damn fun.

Then we all bailed and went to catch our buses. Chad was a super nice guy :) lots of fun to sing with and throw chips at :)

And tomorrow is going to be uber fun and I believe I will totally be thrown out of my comfort zone because I’m starting work as of tomorrow at a fish and chip shop in the village with AJ’s mum :) I hope it goes down well tomorrow because I will do my best to serve the customers their potato gems and such! *determined face*

Dam Cuoi Nha Binh ♫

So since the day at the zoo with Jason I’ve attended to another rehearsal during the week and finally PERFORMANCE DAY!

Ai-Van, Jason, Andy, Trinh and Huyen came at 4ish and me and Ai-Van were on time even though we went to pick up Jason and go to the petrol station to sniff petrol :) …no we really filled up the tank that’s all hehe

So we got to the police academy at 4pm, practiced with what the people we have, fuddled around on the swinging rope things and basically mucked around until we decided to go home and get our stuff together before meeting up again at 7.30

So as everyone was leaving, Ai-Van, Jason and me hopped into Ai-Vans’ Toyota yaris and went back to her place where we ate banh xeo (asian pancakes, they’re yellow!) and played Mario kart with Khang and watched Nam play legion legends or whatever (LoL, apparently for short)
After eating and taking a tour of Ai-Van’s room and mucking around we got back to the police academy, practiced some more and watched Hien My and Anh Huu perform and it was so super :OOOO

And then we performed right after and we did the dance we choreographed. We choreographed and practiced and rehearsed for a total of two weeks and I think the outcome came out really well for something that was really planned in a small amount of time and put together by people who don’t dance at all!

So we did the dance and performed really well, a few mistakes were made by everyone and I can proudly say that that only occurred because of the blinding lights… I swear I was having a seizure while performing on stage D:

But we all had a lot of fun, rehearsing AND performing and I’m glad I didn’t pee my pants :)

Mum was proud, I don’t know about dad … he’s not totally happy me being with Jason but dads never been really open to relationships even though he was the guy who had ALL the girls he could have when he was my age! And plus dad takes relationships too seriously, mum takes it seriously too but she’s got a lot more heart than dad when it comes to the teenage years – trust me, I’ve noticed.

But then after we performed, Jason decided to be all ‘LETS CELEBRATE BY GOING TO YUM CHA AT LANDMARK IN SUNNYBANK’ and yum cha was a very enticing choice but Huyen Tran seemed a little iffy about it all because it seemed like she couldn’t really afford to take us all out to eat. And I mean who can blame her? That’s like 8 people, plus Tuan Lu (Huyen Tran’s boyfriend) and Tuyen. So that’s ten people and ten people is a lot to pay for.

But in the end we went to the Manor and had century egg soup, chicken and corn soup, lots of dumplings and of course, chicken feet in black bean sauce :) but we only went after we’d all promised we’d stick together as a group and perform and do things together in the future :) and who couldn’t promise that after all the fun we’ve had together?

After that we finished at about 1 in the morning and headed home and I slept really well :)

It’s really nice when you feel so accomplished and rewarded and simply, really happy for what you’ve contributed to and as a group who you’ve all stuck together and did something you know? Sure, its not amazing and we didn’t change the world, but having that sense that you belong somewhere, to achieve something together, to enjoy each others’ company, to have so much fun doing something outside of your comfort zone… it really makes me happy :)

But after the wonderful night of sleep and fun…

Oh and did I mention that Anh Huu won a prize from the raffle? And so did Jason!

And Jason won ‘Gas-On’ was it gas on? I’m not sure what it was called but it was a gas burner! It was really funny when he opened it because it was just SO asian to have a gas burner = =

Then after the raffle mum came up to me and Jason (as I was wearing his pants coz all I had were shorts and I borrowed his pants coz he wasn’t wearing them) we talked about the performance a bit, where we were going to go later on (The Manor) and congratulated Jason on winning the gas burner and made a joke that he could cook fish and chips with it – Definitely a good sign :)

So then this morning rolled around and me, mum, dad, aunt, uncle, other uncle, and two little cousins went to Landmark for yum cha to celebrate mum’s coming birthday on Tuesday! (20th of July, also me and Jason’s 9 months!)

I’m also going to mention that it was slightly ironic that the night before Jason suggested Landmark yum cha, but we went to the Manor instead?

Well, we waited outside landmark for almost 2 hours from 11am – 1pm and I ran into Samantha Ye from high school! It was so good to see her again and we talked about high school, uni, grades and GPAs. Turns out next semester we’ll be studying two of the same units together! No idea if we’ll be in the same lecture room or tutorials but still, its nice knowing you have someone there still :)

We also talked about Irina and Griffin hooking up. I thought it was a joke, but apparently it was for real. Whaddya know? :O and …excuse me but Jason’s going to call me a guy attracter for putting this up here but apparently a Taiwanese/chinese guy from high school was planning to ask for my number once… asked Samantha if she knew if I had a boyfriend or not and if she had my number. HAHA made me laugh coz I had no idea. And who’d really want my number anyway? The way I act around school!

Jason’s never seen me around school and I’m absolutely terrible at school. I talk loudly, laugh loudly, prance around (no joke, I prance), run, yell, scream, hop around, pretend I’m flying a plane with arms outstretched through the checkerboard area, yelling ‘LONER TREE’ everytime we walk past the tree, kicking people, punching people, emptying peoples wallets to see the look on their faces as they juggle their cards and IDs putting them back in their slots… yeah I was obnoxious

Who’d want MY number?
No one.

I’m not even pretty, so no ones gonna pull the whole ‘Pretty vs. Personality’ on me. Dunno what Jason loves about me, but I love him :)

And so back to the day, Samantha, it was really nice bumping into her but while she was explaining what the chinese words on my hoodie meant (something along the lines of chemistry, mixing chemicals and reactions) I didn’t get to hear it all coz my uncle called me and I had to leave coz our number was called to go inside and eat!

So I ate and stuffed my face and I was super full but slightly sick of yum cha, but I still love yum cha. But then we stopped by Boost to buy juice and Hot Cake House to buy Danish twists and boy are they yummy! My stomach was going to burst but I ate one anyway :) I’m such a clever duck, but ngl one day I’m going to die because either a) my brain exploded or b) my stomach exploded or c) both.

So after that we went to the hospital to visit a friend of my parents (or Khoa’s mother and grandmother) (note for future Leanne who reads this in the future: Khoa is the kid who killed my goldfish – my first pets – by overfeeding them their fish food) (note for present Leanne reading this right now: gonna find that kid and smash him in the balls)

Anyway, his grandmother was in the hospital because something happened in her blood stream? Where the blood vessels just popped… maybe similar to haemorrhage? And now everything just doesn’t function properly and she can’t eat and can’t move, and she’s not even getting a drip because its unhealthy and the blood vessels and the drip chemicals clash and makes her skin swell….

The doctors say she’s going to pass away during this week… maybe the next… dad told us in the car he reckons she’s only going to last 3 or 4 days… considering she can’t eat and now lives on morphine…. Its really sad. Mum says she used to be so healthy and vibrant, and she was also a rather large woman too.

And now she’s so small and curled up in the hospital bed. Looking at her today reminded me of the sculpture of the old woman curled up in the cloth made by Ron Mueck… it was really sad.. nobody knows what caused this… and it made me realise how fragile life can be
When I pass away, I’d want to pass away in my sleep; calmly. But I guess that’s what everyone wishes for don’t they?

Well I guess that’s all I’ll be writing for today, I’m a little tired coz its almost 11pm and I have uni tomorrow….

zoo & final week of rehearsals!

Okay so its been 4 days since I’ve blogged anything and quite a bit has happened since then :)

On Sunday had rehearsal at 11am for the final performance this coming Saturday night and met up at the viet community centre with everyone and danced and practiced and had some other people came to watch us perform

The head awesome super boss lady of the viet community centre told us it was very cute but we needed more practice :(

But! That is what we are doing! And we’re improving! Apparently we’re almost perfect! As long as we have fun and don’t look scared and fumble around, we’ll be okay :)

After that me and Jason went to the primary school to play tennis

What a funny guy xD

Betting he’d win best of 3 games, if he won he’d get a blowjob. I totally creamed his ass, AND he got something heaps better than a blowjob ;)

We’re so dirty and impulsive…

Anyway, so Monday came and went

But before that, Sunday night rolled around after tennis, and I literally begged my mum to let me go to the zoo with Jason on Monday

She kept saying no, but I kept begging during the movie (Eagle Eye, rented movie) and she was getting a tad sleepy so I kept begging and then she said ‘go wherever you want to, I don’t care *sleepface*’ hahaha I was so happy I started planning it right away

And considering it was like 10-11ish at night the day before it was hard to plan the whole zoo day in a few hours before hitting the sack and waking up again at 6am to go

But luckily Jason was online and we planned away in a whizz, lucky we planned half of it earlier (transport, food etc) planning ahead comes in handy :)

So then the next morning we went to zoo, Jason stopped by coles to buy bread, ham, salami and apple juice.

We met up, had maccas for breakfast and then boarded a train to the zoo! Took a while to get to the zoo but it wasn’t absurdly blow-my-brains-out-im-so-bored long but yeah. We got there took a taxi to the zoo, paid our entry fees, bought to feed bags and HEADED IN!

Saw a peacock in the carpark first, chased it like mad then ran into another peacock and took a heap of photos before hearing donkey braying HEE HAWWWW and ran to go find them and found these HUGE donkeys! I never knew donkeys were so big! They’re so….BIG! its crazy I thought they’d be smaller and greyer but these donkeys were a pale cream and grey and they were BIG AS HORSES! ..almost

But they were still big

We fed them, then went on to see the blackbucks next to the donkeys, fallow deer, Himalayan tahrs and then walked around found the koalas and camels and then walked around where we found the friendship farm!

We saw this big HUGE as black cow and he MOOED! Is that a word? Moo-ed? Past tense of moo? Eh. Oh well. But it was this big cow and I fed him and I got cow saliva and grass all over me with bits of pellet everywhere :)

Then saw the cutest llama ever, I got to feed him and even cuddle him when he stuck his head out of the cage! Teehee, it looked like he had an afro and you could pat his afro and it was so soft!
And there were goats and baby chicks and Jason tried to catch one but the chicks were too busy being warm underneath the warm lamp thingy but he did catch one! And held it for about 3 seconds and then it bailed

And there were guinea pigs! Quite a few in one cage and they were ADORABLE! And they all had names so that was super cute too!

And then we walked around to find the red panda exhibit and the zoo keeper guy tried feeding them to show everyone but they wouldn’t eat, so all the mummys and daddys and their kiddies all bailed coz the red pandas wouldn’t eat :( but they were extremely cute, but they can be VICIOUS! According to the zoo keeper guy anyway

Then we walked around and tried to find the sun bears but failed :) instead we found wallabies, kangaroos and echidnas. Though we couldn’t see any echidnas because they were probably sleeping in their hidey hole somewhere underneath the ground :)

We also saw lots of marmosets, baboons, spider monkeys, red capped capuchins, more koalas, emus, water buffalo, cassowaries and DUCKS

Oh and we also found snakes and reptiles too, as well as the green tree frog and the dainty tree frog

The dainty tree frog was stuck against the glass so all you could see was this blob of green against the glass and me and Jason were looking for the frog and we were both like ‘wheres the frog? I don’t see the frog’ then we saw it and we both went

‘OHMYGOD I FOUND IT LOOK AT IT HOLY SHEET, HAHAHAHAHAHA *rolls around in fits of laughter at the blob of frog on the window*’
Hahaha it was lots of fun :)

We also saw the koala presentation and got to pat this huge 10kg koala after the presentation. And apparently 10kilos of koala is considered rather large/fat (says the zoo keeper).

Oh and we did eventually find the sun bears and a lot of small cages on the way with lots of monkeys/parrots/bats in them :)

It was a very fun experience but I had no idea it was Jason’s first time to the zoo :(
I felt really lucky being able to go to a lot of places as a kid. Parents had taken me to go camping at fraser island as a child, gotten to go fishing and camping, go to zoos, play in parks. Jason’s never had that kind of stuff I guess.. I mean, it’s the zoo! What kind of kid hasn’t been to the zoo?! I feel really lucky though…

But I was really happy that I went to the zoo with Jason, and that day being his first time and all and it was really fun. I’m sure he had lots of fun too :) …Or at least I hope so!

I loved being there with him. I know, it’s a small zoo, there aren’t HEAPS of animals there, but its not where you are, its who you’re with right? And it was really different going somewhere else with Jason instead of the city all the time :)

Then so Monday came and went as fast in the blink of an eye because Jasons dad called him home to work at the shop…. So we left the zoo and headed back to the city, bought Oscar the jinglebear, Gary for Ai – Van and a domo for Jason :) (Correction: a domo with a hat and a backpack!)

Then I took the train back with Jason, where I sat at the train station for about 15 minutes and was slightly harassed by a drunken smoking dude who tugged at my ponytail… wanted to run away, he was scary! Now Jason won’t let me take the train around his neighbourhood/direction anymore :(

Means I can’t visit… won’t even let me visit with him there taking public transport with me… woe is me :(

mmm… then Tuesday rolled around and went running errands with mum and went shopping at mt ommaney and spent a total of … ugh I can’t remember anymore. 6 dollars on a dress, 2 dollars on a chikarita, chocolate, earrings $7.50. well I didn’t spend much around 20 dollars? Yeah, then went home, watched masterchef like a noob, and put on a movie, Rabbit Proof Fence (good movie!)

then today came around and went to the city with mum :)

ran into kerming half the day, while he was on a date but turns out chi didn’t show up but now I have found out that she didn’t show up because she was in the hospital…. I hope she gets better…

but went to the markets and went to see Ron Mueck at the gallery of modern art and it was super! Then went to go eat fettucine carbonara at aroma gardens and introduced mum to the place at the same time. And I also found out the place has toilets at the back! And also a lounge, with a bar, without any alcohol in it – the alcohol is stored in the front lol and I think they only serve beer.. yuck!

Then went home at 4.30pm, showered, rested a bit, cleaned room a bit, packed Gary into a bag with a postcard for Ai – Van and went to rehearsal! Rehearsal was really short today though. Only an hour and a half! Everythings going well so Huyen Tran cancelled the practice on Friday and decided we meet up on Saturday afternoon before the show started instead so it must be a sign we’re getting better!

But I have to start to learn to not watch Trinh, Ai – Van and Hien My while dancing and look at the audience! But I’m so scared I’m going to be out of time and hence the reason I watch them and copy >_<>
now and tomorrow is wake-up-early-and-do-chores-day :(

soup & movies

Its 11.31pm at the moment and I have just made potato and leek soup, watched the waterhorse and Rogue with the parents.

Waterhorse was cute, very… free willy-esque, tied in with nessie and all, but it’s a kids movie so obviously it was supposed to be cute

Rogue seemed fake but it was good, like jaws but with crocodiles the size of a house that likes to make collections out of people and live in trees (no really, I’m serious, this croc lives in a tree)

But yeah, I guess today was a good day. Went shopping at DFO and lalalala nothing much really happened

Tomorrow is another rehearsal and it’s a full dress rehearsal so I gotta wear that white dress and yah yah yahhhh…

But hey, all is good, I’m sure tomorrow will go very well, we’re just making up the last part of the dance now and after some hard practice we’ll be able to piece everything together just fine :)

But things I do must remember…

- Bring Jasons tshirt I bought for him
- Wear the white dress w/ tights
- Bring tennis shirt & shorts to change into
- Bring white shoes & converse
- Bring tennis rackets and balls
- Bring Jason soup and cupcakes :)

rehearsals... and excess fees :( (oh and pokemon....normal pokemon...)

Rehearsal last night at the viet community centre was fun :)
..and awkward in a few ways

For starters, I arranged that mum drive me there..and on the way pick up Jason at the train station.. and yeah.. a bit of weird situation to be in sometimes

But it turned out okay, we talked little and the ride was very short so it was ayy okay
And before we went to pick up Jason me and mum had to peel prawns together and I had to drag out my hello kitty bok choy lunchbox, put rice in it, put the prawns in it and give to him and 2 hours before then I was running around like a chicken without a head trying to cook the cupcakes in time

They didn’t turn out as good as I’d hoped since half the batch’s bottoms were a little overcooked and once they cooled, they turned hard = =

Not successful on my part but I’ll do better next time… the white cooking chocolate didn’t melt out the way I wanted it too either, it ended up turning lumpy and fused with the butter in the cupcake so that the cake around the butter turned a weird yellow and looked uncooked *sadface*

But yeah, Jason ate the food

I quote Huyen Tran “nothings better than the food cooked by your girlfriend” ahahah she’s so lovely but technically cupcakes aren’t food, they’re only dessert and rice is cooked by a rice cooker, so technically mum did all the cooking *leanne fails at life*

Rehearsal was good we got the timing of the dance together and its starting to become easier to manage the whole dance routine but at the last minute we decided to finish the last part of the dance too, so the last 1:40min we’re gonna choreograph in a week! Good luck to us :O

Dance finished early, 9.30 or so and Aivan headed back to my place to practice making up moves and we dragged out Step up and step up 2 and had a quick lookie at some of their routines and came up with a few moves which was really fun and practiced until almost 11pm D:

Then Aivan left and I went to bed and I was rather sad since after yesterday (or today) we’re gonna be charged excess for internet usage… *sadface*

I dunno if I should risk getting charged 15 cents a MB to post this blog…

EDIT: Aivan also gave me a VBA pokemon sapphire game for the laptop too last night when she was here :) so now I’m being a pokemon junkie and playing it

Sad thing is, I can’t seem to beat the petalburg gym leader at the moment coz I was too busy training my manectric and not taking enough care into training my pwnage combusken and now he’s getting whooped

I also need hyper potions, son of a bitchface keeps healing just before he’s about to die, I hate normal type pokemon… normal/whatever, is okay but normal/normal plain normal pokemon piss me off, GET A TYPE OR GO JUMP OFF A CLIFF YOU NORMAL POKEMON *slaps the normal pokemon*

darra reunion ♥

LA LA LA!

Today was an exciting fun filled adventure Mr Blogosphere! Why? Because today was the darra reunion at the city!

Okay, so not everyone came but all the people that could come did come which was really good! Thien, Tu-Phuong (otherwise –now- known as Ruby), Boris, Boris’ cousin Nick, Lam, Haiyen, Peter, Aivan, Ai-Vy, Kat, Thao and of course, Jason came :)

And it was super!

First we all met up and a few people were late and all but it was really nice to see everyone all together for the first time in ages! (even though it wasn’t quite everyone) but still! And that penisface JASON!
Called him to say I was in the city and ask where he was but he was all *puts on Jason voice* ‘aw I’m at home still’ so I was a bit disappointed but he said he’d come later on during the day so I wasn’t too bad then once I get there say hello to everyone and then BAM out of nowhere this douchebag walks up and says hi (okay so douchebag is a little harsh but .. I love him :))

Then we went to eat yum cha at China City. The food there generally wasn’t as good as other Yum cha places… King of Kings at Chinatown and Landmark at sunnybank are much much better… but everything was okay apart from the fact that scary reception business asian lady person was a bit anal about bringing food from maccas into her restaurant coz she might get sued for our stomach aches.. I mean its maccas, its not a meal from another restaurant…. So Ai Van and Yen got kicked out of the restaurant for a while… *sadface*

So then we came to the conclusion that she’s been sued before and was OCD on other foods. What a strange lady.

Anyway, we headed up to the myer centre cinemas again and bought tickets to *drumroll*

And it was quite a deal more epic than the first movie coz one vampire clan is all ‘oi bitches, lets go kill bella coz her whining pisses us off’ so they form a clan and go after her and kill her and its full bloodshed and people dying everywhere which totally made it epic

Some think (ahem, Jason) that Jacob was very hot indeed. And he did look good. Whatever. That’s a plus for some people then :)

But the movie is pretty good. Less mush, more killing. Its what vampires do, kill, so why are they falling in love all over the place? Silly Edward. But personally I like Jacob coz he isn’t a pussy like Edward. And I now have a newfound liking towards Jasper, he’s rather pretty too (and also un-pussy like)

Then after that we made our way to cue city and karaoke where we took round about half an hour to choose what we wanted to do and since it took so long Haiyen and Peter went shopping, Kat and Thao went shopping for a dildo, Jason and Thien went to play pool and the rest of us (Ai-Van, Ai-Vy, Tu-Phuong, Yen, Lam and myself) went karaoke

Excuse me for being a little estranged from the situation but it was a little awkward after Kat and Thao walked off and I asked Yen where they were going and I was told along the lines of ‘Kat and Thao are going to an adult store to shop for a dildo coz Thao’s lonely’

…

I was a little surprised at Thao’s slightly unashamed .. okay maybe unashamed is the wrong word but I can’t think of anything at the moment

But really, a little modesty? I don’t know. I’m making assumptions but I’m guessing Thao broke up with ZiYang? They seemed so nice together but I didn’t know they were shagging? I guess you can’t judge someones relationship ayy? Well I didn’t know breakups could be so hard, like… ‘OH WE BROKE UP, I WANT SEX BUT HE’S NOT AVAILABLE TO ME ANYMORE, I NEED A DILDO’ I always figured it would be much more emotional…

I guess I’m just a little shocked

But we karoaked and it was heaps fun coz Ai-Vy’s voice is so loud and she’s just the centre of attention (I don’t remember her being this way in primary!) and Tu-Phuong can make up korean to sound Korean to sing Gee by SNSD hahaha

Then after that Haiyen wasn’t able to meet up with us so she went home and so did Peter and after that we eventually all split up anyway

Lam and Aivan took a bus home together, Yen took the train, I don’t know what happened to Tu-Phuong and Thien but me and Jason went to aroma gardens to have dinner
Lasagne was cheap today :) and it was yummy :)

But that’s all pretty much

Was planning (hoping) to go ice skating with Jason tomorrow but mum wont let me and has chained me to the home to do chores and so tomorrow night at 7pm I’m going to rehearse the dance at the viet community centre again :)

But even though I don’t get to go ice skating with Jason, I’m still grateful that I got to see him today and tomorrow night :)

Well I’m off now, I’ve had heaps of fun and I wish I could be bothered to upload photos up here but I cbf and camera is almost out of battery too… eh..

Okay so I’ve hardly blogged anything lately … but there isn’t much to blog because in every 500 words I type its like my whole day RIGHT there

But since it’s the holidays and I don’t have much to do apart from chores and cleaning and rearranged desks and bookshelves I’ll just recap Monday, shitty Tuesday night and uber Wednesday

Monday… went to the city with jasonface to sell and buy second hand books at uni and chyeah
And I hardly remember what we even did on Monday coz my memory fails me

I know it was fun and we fed lots of ducks.. but apart from that I don’t remember anything…

Wait I remember now! So we got there in the morning and went to dome for breakfast and went to the art gallery (GoMA) and saw sculptures of huge bunny rabbits and falling birds on cliff edges and everything was great but we mainly came to the art gallery to see Ron Mueck’s artworks! But we realised to get into the Mueck gallery we had to pay… sadface BUT WE WENT ANYWAY and it was worth my ten bucks

The people were so real, the old lady in bed, ‘Dead Dad’ and everything was so real! It was hard believe it was made out of fibreglass and silicon, and the each piece of hair was meticulously placed into the sculpture by the artist himself. It was crazy. I showed mum the photos of his artworks and now she wants to go too so yay!

And thennnnn we went to go eat sushi and then bought a whole loaf of fresh bread from a nightowl store and fed ducks at the botanic gardens and went on a full blown adventure to find mega duck (mr mallard duck @ the gardens) and I have most of it recorded on my camera
My voice also sounds really horrible too, do I always sound like that? I totally wouldn’t be friends with me if I had a voice like that. Ew.

Anyways we fed ducks and then went home and went to dancing (first ever practice!) it was strained and quite strange. I don’t dance, at all. So chyeah but it was fun even though I was quiet and shy – and I really hope I didn’t come across as incompetent, that would be bad D:

Anyway, then Tuesday slept in hardcore, people from America came over and stayed at our house for the night and it was quiet and weird and we ate hot pot. And I don’t favour hot pot unless its got wagyu beef in it and comes from Sono’s so I didn’t eat much and went to bed hungry

Technically, I didn’t go to bed, I went to the floor in a sleeping bag in mums bedroom coz grandparents took over my room while the other 16 guests took up the guest rooms and the couch… Hmm.. didn’t sleep that night, dad raged for being on the laptop for so long and mum was invading laptop usage privacy by peering into my msn convos (fml.)

Then came Wednesday, got up early and changed plans with alex coz I was planning to bus it to the city with her and matthew and but in the end mum decided we should go to myer at indro and ended up buying two watches on the spot.

It was weird coz I always wait at least 6 months for something that’s really expensive to see if I REALLY TRULY want it. But all I did was point and say ‘oh my gosh, mum that’s a pretty watch’ and mum bought it for me. Considering she bought it to even out her debt with me, technically I bought it with my own money = = oh well, at least I have something to tell the time with now coz I’m always running late to uni… :(

And then met up with Jason and alex and matthew at the city at funhouse haha. It was funny coz I saw Jason first at the technika machine, then alex and matthew were JUST walking up to the funhouse towards the technika machine and chyeah coincidental! xD

And then we met up with nhu and then we played around at the funhouse before splitting ways. Alex , nhu and matthew went to go find an early lunch and visit the public library and me and Jason did the same only the book I had on hold was an adaptation of tim winton’s cloudstreet… not the actual cloudstreet book. FML!!! I was not happy! >_<

Then we went to the southbank cinemas and saw toy story 3! I would’ve thought the movie was going to be okay but it turned out to be a lot more epic than I had originally thought! But what didn’t surprise me was that Woody was the centre of attention = = its always woody haha >_>

Then met up with david soon after at cue city and then he had to leave to go help plan a wedding and set up a sound system or something? I’m not sure but we’re gonna go tie shopping another day. But when I met up with david I didn’t even get to meet Thuong coz she went shopping :( so instead I walked up to Jenny and said ‘HEY THUONG RIGHT? HI’ yeah I failed.

Then me and Jason went to go buy another loaf of bread at emart to feed the ducks again! I hope the ducks don’t get used to it otherwise they’ll lose the habit of finding food for themselves and wont be able to live without living off the bread people feed them

But it was fun though! The ducks are so cute when they jump but I wish megaduck would get out of the water! I want to see him waddle!

Teehee yes, then after roaming around the gardens and climbing on the big metal statue outside uni we went to the asian place for dinner and headed home on the train the darra

Lucky Jason was there, I was scared when we got on the train and ran into the drunk guy sitting behind us

He scared off the poor Korean girl sitting next to him and she fully bailed out of her seat and moved to the other side of the train! And then he was drooling everywhere and breathing into a plastic bag for some reason…?? Then he kept swearing at Jason – the black haired cunt – asking the time, what station we’re at, where we’re going and he was just harassing everyone! It was so uncomfortable…

Then we finally got off at Darra (Thank god.) and Ai-van picked us up and drove us to the viet comm. Centre where we practiced dance and for some odd reason Jason came along! I was so happy he came along otherwise I’d fail dancing without a buddy :(

And we mucked around, danced, learned some new moves, practiced the old moves, taught Jason the old moves and it was really fun because everything was a bit more relaxed because everyone put in an opinion and tried a little harder this time probably because Hien My wasn’t ‘dominating’ as much and so everyone put in a little bit.

And I’m not saying Hien My is a hard leader and dominates everyone like RAWR *whip noise* but her enthusiasm overpowered ours and so we ran out of inspiration and she came up with all the choreography when the rest of us where left standing and following… especially me. I’m a wordless idiot when it comes to new situation and lots of new people. Heh. I’m a loser.

And that’s what happened, we finished rehearsal at 10.30pm and luckily Tran drove Jason home otherwise he would’ve had to take the train and wouldn’t be home until 1am… so I was much much MUCH less worried… I worry too much.. and Tran talked to Jason’s mother and convinced her to let Jason be a part of this :)

Not going out until Monday, Darra reunion! And the next rehearsal is on Sunday at 11am and we’ll be able to meet the two other guys! Vincent and… his brother haha

Luckily Jason joined otherwise we’d be short one person. Girl or guy, we’d be short one person even if Tram posed as a guy we’d need a girl anyway.. so that was really lucky… too bad Oscar bailed.. :(

Anyways I’m off and gonna continue rolling in bed coz its warm
