150th post: a lonnnng friday

Uni today.
Met four new people today: James, Tim, Jamaine and Mark. Also ran into Casey Dann, Paris and Brody today too. It was a good day until now.

Because I think jason’s upset with me because I have too many male friends… and he probably feels insecure about it and calls me a guy attracter…

I don’t know what to do, I can’t change who I am. The guy friends I have in my life right now are good friends and I value them very much. But I just don’t know what to do… I can’t change who I am, and it seems I can’t change his attitude either.

Also, he’s probably upset because I can’t see him on Sunday either… for his little ‘surprise’ outing..

Tomorrow afternoon we’re having a family BBQ, but right now I’m not really in the mood to entertain my little cousins…

I thought this week was finally looking up, but hey, a bad week is a bad week. What can I say…

But for some odd reason, Nghi just knows when im feeling down or something but its nice to talk to him again :) we’re talking about nicknames and Japanese schoolgirls on campus tours of UQ :)

Gonna go to sleep soon…

Had uni, met up with Alanbutt, Loc, Nhu, Alex and Kerming later in the day to celebrate Loc’s 19th. Went to karaoke and then to the valley to eat yum cha at king of kings and had my very first mango pancake.

Kipper the black moor goldfish was terribly sick because his telescope eyes were infected and when I bought the medicine to cure it, he didn’t make it through the second night because it was terribly cold and passed away during the night.. I buried him underneath dads rose bush right in the right corner of the rose bush section of our backyard in a small white box lined with tissue paper.

Sunday, 25th July 2010
Studied and met up with Jason in the afternoon at the village to stop by the Sunday markets to buy more goldfish food for Twinky, even though there was still enough for only one goldfish… Also bought another 1000 piece puzzle that day, I also said something out of line and Jason got upset and ignored me half the day. Stopped by work to drop off emergency contact details and drivers license for ID. Then went to the lake to feed ducks (and two megaducks/megageese). Bad start to the day, but I guess it wasn’t so bad.

Monday, 26th July 2010
Had uni again, Jason took the day off to do his assignments and at the last minute decided to visit me at uni. Met up with Nhu and Jason and then went to eat Hanaichi together before meeting up with Chad at the funhouse and then me and Jason left to go to a super fun marketing lecture for two hours (sarcasm). Didn’t meet up with Nhu and Chad after that, so me and Jason went to eat at sushi delight and go karaoke *ahem*.

Tuesday, 27th July 2010
Had work from 10 to 6.30pm. It was one of my slow days where I feel like a Snorlax on hot chocolate (otherwise known as: Leanne is so sleep she could fall asleep standing up anywhere). Served customers and got blamed for letting a customer stealing a 1.5L drink. But it was cleared up that I did charge him the cost of the drink at the time of order ($3.90 to be exact). Closed down, did so many dishes the skin on my hands were starting to peel :(

Which is precisely today, had uni at Kelvin grove for the first time and I wanted to pee my pants and after my two hour lecture on means, variance and standard deviations; spent half an hour trying to find room 202b in B block, after eventually finding it had some more trouble finding the library in R block and sitting in a corner filling out next weeks schedule in my daily planner. Went to tutorial at 1pm and ran into Kaitlyn, Chloe, Sarah, Jeremy and his asian friend.

I only talked to Kaitlyn though, coz I’m a turtle that way (turtle analogy means, Leanne is too much of an arse and too chicken to say hi coz she’s scared out of her pants being at KG and certainly not in the best mood to strike up wonderful conversation).

Then left to the city again and headed home because Alex missed her tutorial and went home (we were supposed to meet up, but oh well). So I took the bus home and ran into Lou and talked the whole bus home.

Basically my day so far, unless you count making pancakes and watching the Simpsons… but for now I’m going to go shower and then do some study before watching Simpsons again at 7.30pm

Like I said, I’m not having the best week and I haven’t been blogging it in here but yeah…

For now I might be all happy dandy blahblah but everythings not always how it looks, but I’ll be alright. I know I will

fettucine carbonara for nine months (and one day)

Today I skipped my second uni lecture at Kelvin Grove. I know I’m gonna be screwed when I REALLY need to be there for a lecture but come on it was a lecture on methods of research – bottom line, its GAY.

So I went to see Jason instead because he was making me a surprise for our nine months (and officially, one day) and turns out Jason gave it away by asking me how to do certain things in the kitchen and he goes and copy and pastes from the website ‘blahblahblah cook the bacon and add some cream, eggs and blahblahblah then toss into the pasta’

Key word: pasta.

Jason failed so bad :)

I just don’t get it. Anyone who plans a surprise for me fails. I bet its coz of my super clairvoyance and the idea that I am so awesome I can see right through the surprise MUAHAHAHHAHAHA
Nah its not that. Jason just failed :)

But yeah, got to jason’s place and cooked together.. only after we had sex first.

The fettucine carbonara (FAVOURITE PASTA EVAAAAAAAAAR) turned out really good only we cooked the carbonara sauce too slow and the egg scrambled and it was really depressing but it was so yummy and we were so full after that! But whatever that was leftover had to be thrown out because all the egg scrambled and when the egg is scrambled its NOT YUMMY ANYMORE >___<

Teehee then we did it another 2 and a half times (half because we didn’t finish off, yeah we’re badass like that)

Then at 3.30, left jason’s place to go to the city and then we went to go pee, win 2 totodiles from the $2 machines of awesomeness, and eat at little Singapore in albert lane. But I REALLY wanted to go to the tea shop and try their tea, it was so nice in there… I want to try it! >_<

But that’s all that happened today, tomorrow I have work from 10 – 2 at the fish and chip shop and then after that hardcore study until night because I have a bit of catching up to do and study for Friday’s lectures… = =

nine months, birthday, fish n chips and SHITE

On to the same boring shite:

Today was my first day at work! A fish and chip shop at the village and when I woke up at 9 this morning I stayed in bed until 9.30am because I thought my stomach was going to poop for several reasons

Today is mums birthday and I forgot to wrap her gift

Today is me and Jason’s nine months and I haven’t wrapped his gift yet either

And today is the first day of work, in the last 8 months I haven’t found work or ANYTHING but finally something just randomly POPS up (on facebook actually, as a notification) that AJ’s mum needs someone to help out at her shop on Tuesdays and badadingbadaboom I now have a job at a local fish and chip shop :)

I can officially say I work in the same industry as Jason!

Well when I was on my way there this morning, mum was driving me and I got a call from AJ and she’s all like ‘err hey, where are you? You’re supposed to be at work at 10am’ and by then it was like 10.20am and I’m shitting my pants and mums next to me and she’s giving me the ‘you failed big time, they’re not gonna call you in next week coz you just shit your pants and you’re late’

So I got there explained why I was late – it was very legit! I was told 10.30am okays? Its not my fault, something must have happened communication wise but either way I’m either 20 minutes late, or 10minutes early.

And when I got there I was briefed about how everything kinda works, where most things were, that I’d learn where everything was and how to do everything over time and that I needed to wash the cutlery extra careful coz customers were complaining about dirty cutlery. Nice.

So then I did dishes for ages, and then was sent outside to watch Trent serve customers and after watching him serve two or three manager is all ‘okays, go serve this next customer’ and I might have peed my pants saying ‘hi, how can I help you?’

Yeahh… and I don’t know the prices either so I was so confused D:

But then AJ came and helped here and there and taught me about stuff and PHEW I was so lucky. But I learnt a lot and I had fun doing it (even though there were dishes full of oily stuff and floating bits of crumbs in it) but overall I think I did really well for a first day where I’ve never served a customer in my life (apart from children) and serving anything besides toast, fairy bread, spaghetti and baked beans, and for me that’s REALLY good considering my brain is always floating up somewhere near the exosphere somewhere.

Anyways it was a good day :)

I’m being paid 10 bucks an hour and the work isn’t horribly demeaning and difficult, and compared to ABCC and getting a measly pay of $8.60 then I’m pretty satisfied. :)

I’ll be off now, I have uni tomorrow, but since the lecture is on research methods and some other shite – I’m gonna go see Jason instead coz I love him more than research methods and shite.

semester two with nhu and chad :)

a red panda to bless you with its cuteness xD

Today I had my first day of university, semester two, first year. It was really fun actually! (apart from the lecture on marketing)

I got to the city at 2pm (actually a little later than that) and met up with Nhu and we went shopping to buy mum a gift for her birthday tomorrow and find something for Jason because it is also our nine months tomorrow :)

In the end I bought mum two DVDs of the lord of the rings (she loves the lord of the rings) but I didn’t get the second disc of the trilogy because the case wasn’t special edition :( will go back and hunt for it! And I bought Jason a movie too, but that’s a secret for now :)

So then we went to Hanaichi for sushi for lunch but when we got there it was exactly 3pm and they close for lunch at EXACTLY 3pm. It was a little disappointing because I wanted the sashimi platter :(

But then instead we headed to Aroma Gardens and I had lasagne and grilled chicken for Nhu. Then we split ways and I headed to my lecture and Nhu met up with Chad!

At 6.30pm met up with Nhu again and Chad came too. At the time I didn’t know who this guy was and when I got introduced I didn’t quite catch his name so we stood there being confused for a while before I finally got it hahaa so then we decided we weren’t really hungry yet and thought we’d go play tekken because Chad likes tekken too and he beats Nhu quite a bit too teehee

Versed Chad twice, Nhu once, and I beat them both! HARR HARR before I got owned by some random though.. haha he was a nice random though, while I was freaking out and making faces and saying ‘OHMYGOD I SUCK I’M GONNA GET PWND’ he turned around and said ‘hey, I’m still new at this too so you don’t have to worry’ which I thought was real nice :)

But he pwnd me anyway.

Still, he seemed like a nice guy :)

So then we decided we wanted to a) play pool, b) karaoke or c) go bowling. But in the end we went to go karaoke and it was SO much fun! Backstreet boys, the Darkness, YMCA, Jackson 5, Britney Spears, Barbie girl! And our final song was Accidentally in Love – who could not love that song? Its so upbeat and fun! And it was heaps fun coz we danced and attempted to belly dance and Chad makes the best backup dancer ever and he’s not tone deaf either :D

And Chad bought juice for us too! Well not juice technically, it was milk tea but it was in a big juice popper like thing so me and nhu called it juice anyway

It went down a little like this:

Nhu & Leanne: ‘JUIIIIIIIIICE YAY THANKS CHAD’
Chad: ‘It’s not juice, its milk tea.’
Nhu & Leanne: ‘WOOOOOOOOT JUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE’

Yeah, we’re special.

Then after karaoke we realised our buses didn’t arrive until 9pm so we bummed around outside hungry jacks throwing chips at each other and dropping chips into the fountain and racing our French fries to see whose could make it to the other end of the water feature fastest (I won. Harr harr.) threw chips at Chad, played the thumb game, talked about tekken, laughed at how Nhu’s gonna get put into the Guinness Records Book for being able to stall an automatic car and yeahh it was damn fun.

Then we all bailed and went to catch our buses. Chad was a super nice guy :) lots of fun to sing with and throw chips at :)

And tomorrow is going to be uber fun and I believe I will totally be thrown out of my comfort zone because I’m starting work as of tomorrow at a fish and chip shop in the village with AJ’s mum :) I hope it goes down well tomorrow because I will do my best to serve the customers their potato gems and such! *determined face*
