Source: Stuff no one told me
I've recently (recently as in, several months ago) purchased Chapter five of Gala Darling's book 'Love and Sequins'. It's all about finding happiness and making it stay.
I've listened to the podcast and I want to listen to it over and over again. I'm going to be honest and say I know that throughout this whole entire year I haven't been as optimistic and happy as I should be and I question if I deserve happiness at all.
Looking back, I've done a lot of bad things in my past.
But hearing Gala's words on happiness, I've decided to follow her words of advice to literally 'finding happiness and making it stay'.
I'm setting myself a goal, that by the end of this year I will become secure and a lot less of an anxious person that I am now. I will be positive and optimistic. I will be open and receptive to all good.
I am going to start with affirmations. Consistently telling myself that I will be happy and good things will happen. I'm going to stick happy little notes around my room, on the ceiling to see as soon as I wake up! On the bathroom mirror maybe, stick a note in my wallet, put another one in my laptop bag. I don't know, but I'll do it.
I'm going to start becoming grateful for what I have every week with 'Things I love Thursday'. On Thursdays I will take a short break out of my daily life to write a short post about all the things that have made me happy this week and be grateful for those moments.
I will make good use of my time, get things done. Finish my work as soon as I can and not let it linger. I must not linger around.
I will live in the moment and make every day special and magical.
I will be working on these aspects of my life to improve my attitude. These changes will be effective immediately and I will become a better person.
There will be times where I won't be feeling so great, but trust me, I'm working on it. Things will change. Just watch me.
