Things I love Thursday

This past week has kind of been hectic, with the first semester of uni drawing to a close this one single psychology assignment is really weighing me down and it doesn't really help when you could be distracted by ANYTHING. But have no fear! At least other things can keep me motivated (:

Baked goods and catch ups ♥

Last week, Jess came over for a catch up day! Oh the glorious cake mixes we inhaled and the mindfucking movies we watched. Being the lazy uni students we were, we couldn't be bothered making the whole cake/cupcakes from scratch so we ended up buying premade mixes instead, threw all the ingredients together and voila! CAKE. Damn tasty cake. Mmmm nom nom nom.

Iced treats in winter and gossip ♥

Also met up with my dearest uni friend, Julie. After consuming our weight's worth of ramen, we had much to gossip about. We talked about everything. And I mean everything. And by the end of the night we were both stuffed to the brim with mangoes and ice in the middle of winter. Did I mention it was absolutely freezing? Gosh, I hadn't laughed with this girl in so long. Love her :)

Dessert shops and my pooface ♥

LOOK HOW PRETTY THE TIRAMISU IS. Enough said.

Long naps and a bunny ♥

Pizza, champagne glasses and video games. And study ♥

Supposed to study in the library until I realised I had a license and I could actually drive places. Ended up back at Jess' place where we indulged in smoking garlic bread, pizza, coke in champagne glasses and Iron Man! Then afterwards we slaughtered some zombies and then each other. In Super Smash Bros. Aw yiss.

I really wanna shoot some zombies right now.

Little things that made me giggle with glee:
Yuki growling at me after I forgot to feed him breakfast, I'm sorry! Such a little cutie ♥ Late night conversations every single night ♥ Not to mention, bedtime stories ♥ an unlimited supply of cuddles ♥ winter! the cuddle season! how lucky am I? ;) ♥ hot water bottles and stuffed animals ♥ bubble tea and chocolate ice cream ♥ The Hunger Games! now moving on to 'The Other Boleyn Girl' love love love! ♥ almost acquiring all the ponies available in Happy Meals! Rarity you are my last! ♥ boxes of chocolates ♥ Pokemon gachapon balls, damn you Leafeon you have eluded me again grr ♥ late night fast food deliveries ♥

Despite exams looming and this assignment due - life is pretty darn good :)

Things I Love Thursday

I realise that I haven't been very grateful for many things in the past few months and that makes me very sad. I also realise that it isn't Thursday either, but in fact, Tuesday. Screw that, you can be grateful everyday :)

Luckily for me, I can be grateful now. And the things that I'm grateful for these past few weeks:

Haiyen and Aivan being there for me no matter ♥ meep meep and noot noot (lol we're fucking retarded) ♥ Rambo ♥ Yuki being the naughtiest and cutest little puppy ever, I'm so glad he loves cuddles as much as I do (if not more!) ♥ loitering at Sunnybank, eating ramen and crowding the bubble tea shops ♥ staying in and watching movies ♥ impromptu trips to Ikea and wanting EVERYTHING (it makes you feel like you're married hahahaha) ♥ strolling around the Buddha Festival being spiritual and sending prayers and wishes ♥ free ice cream! AND tickets to lil jon live at the met ♥ gossiping at the beach on a warm sunny day ♥ steak and mushrooms for dinner after said beach trip ♥ cats on the internet that make me giggle ♥ re:plus (see below) ♥  mango dessert with my dear Julie! ♥ late conversations on the beach ♥

I should keep a tab on these things, it makes me really happy to think back on everything that's been going on around me and to remind myself that there is beauty everywhere you look if you choose to seek it :)

Things I Love Thursday

Unfortunately for me, this whole entire week has kind of sucked.
Being tired and miserable every day doesn't really help the whole happy and glittery life journey :(

So this weeks things I love Thursday is (sadly) extremely short.

♥ DDR ♥ Boost Juice ♥ Buying books when I'm upset ♥ Chopper hat ♥ Getting nails done

Black French tips ~
(Was meant to take this picture with the DSLR, but I failed miserably, so I turned to the trusty webcam haha)

And yes, a lovely picture of my toes D:
The nail art is very prettyyyy, and I really like this colour too.
I forgot what colour, but it was a mix of a lilac purple and a dark blue from OPI

Jason got this for me at a comic book shop in Toowong
It's Choppers hat :)
Maybe, when I can afford it, I'll buy his blue backpack and cosplay as Tony Tony Chopper ♥

Well, not much is going to happen this weekend. I'll try to blog more often, but exams are almost here.. (one more week!) but being asian comes with complimentary asian parents. And of course, the stereotypical 'YOU HAVE TO DO WELL' pressure is setting in.

Can you believe it? My mother sat me down the other day and she's like 'How are you doing on your studies?' So I reply with 'Yeah, it's okay. My grades could be better, but so far I should be passing everything..'

And she talks to me like I'm going to fail miserably.

-Momentarily pause in blogging to have mother yell at me some more-

Can't be bothered with life anymore.

Super belated things I love Thursday

As promised this is the huge ass mega super duper things I love thursday bonanza!
My phone decided it wasn't going to revert back to stock functions and kept all my previous files so I was HAPPY. I was freaking out because I thought I would have to get back all my contacts and I was all 'NOOOOOOOO... THAT WOULD MEAN I HAVE TO LOG ONTO FACEBOOK TO CONTACT EVERYONE. GAAAAAAAY.'

Such thus, I have my final TiLT list! Finally!

Also, I should be blogging more often from now on as I have more of a social life! (More of, not necessarily an actual social life haha)

Things that have made me grateful these past billion weeks:

♥ Friday night dates ♥ tea, scones and cake! ♥ taro milk & oolong bubble tea ♥ Folio bookstore ♥ all nighter at uni... ♥ eggs salmon hollandaise ♥ converting friends into bronies :D ♥ Jason being chased by children at the kiddy pools (haha it was so funny because I egged on the kids to splash water all over Jason in his restaurant uniform and then the kids chased him all around the pool... and then of course, they splashed me too. Those sneaky kids..!) ♥ competitive air hockey ♥ spending a day shopping with mum ♥ new shoes and a new pony playset! Yay Cheerilee! ♥ rolling around in the grass with Jasonface ♥ Sizzlers ♥ shopping with Jess ♥ Pool and karaoke with Chan, Cindy, Jess, Tim & Jason after we ran into them at Target of all places ♥ Makeup portfolio photoshoot & Korean BBQ ♥ Second anniversary ♥

As you can see, I've been somewhat sociable lately since all my assessments are over. But I still have exams to go... Oh dear.

I shall keep this blog updated in the future. Much to write about methinks. Second anniversary with Jasonface and the makeup portfolio photoshoot!

I guarantee the next few posts are going to be very photo-heavy. I took like.. 550 photos everyday for the past few days ._.

Chan and her boy toys :3

Jason pulled off an awesome brooding look... reminds me of L from deathnote.
(Gahh... L... -swoon-)

Jason's gift for our second anniversary!
With me being terribly broke all the time I ended up painting him a Rainbow Dash canvas :)
It was so much fun to paint, but so painstakingly difficult to get it all right...
I'll post the finished product later on :D

Now it is time for me to go watch One Piece and study for the upcoming exams -dies-

Update!

Just a heads up, my phone is working properly after malfunctioning for about three hours. So I have an TiLT list! Hurray!

Bad news is, its 12.18am and I'm sleepy. So off to bed with me and I leave you with a picture of David's numbat.

Yes... inside joke. David and I had a big discussion about what numbats and armodillos look like and that apparently they look very different. Best stimulating discussion about animals hahaha

Mega Super Things I Love Thursday Extravaganza!

I open with... a Bulbasaur I drew earlier this week :)

Pretty cool, no? I downloaded photoshop CS5 (Shh, don't tell Adobe) and started fumbling around with it. I've been drawing stupid things every Monday, as part of a procrastinating regime. (You should've seen all the unimaginative penises me and my friend have drawn in the past few weeks.)
It's also funny because a friend of ours also commented that we are 'sexually frustrated', hence all the penis drawings. But in actual fact, we're just plain immature.

Impromptu camwhore at the library

Also, the pictures below are from Jess's 21st birthday! I think it was a bit of a shame she had nothing planned :( So we decided to whip up a quick plan to eat pizza and McDonald's in the library PLUS cake. (I bought that cake, that's why it tasted so awesome.) It was raining that day too, and the pizza box turned soggy. But the pizza inside tasted awesome anyway. But yeah, that was the adventure for the 3rd of October.
Happy birthday Jess! Hope you had an awesome adventure for your 21st :)

^Soggy pizza box with awesome untouched pizza inside

And this is an impromptu dinner at Little Singapore with Chan and her friends! They're uber nice and dinner was especially hilarious. We had free bubble tea, really loud conversations, gay couples accompanied with plenty of sexual innuendos (Some of which, were acted out very realistically...)

Also, some baby ducks were born in the past few weeks! I have a few pictures but I thought this one was especially cute! (I meant the picture with the ducks, not the asian dude. Haha.)

It's funny because it's not Thursday. Today is Sunday.

These things are so out of schedule now! I really need to get back on track with this whole 'I LURVE MY LIFE' journey thing.

Other than that, tonnes of stuff has been happening lately! Stuff = not even mildly interesting. Stuff as in... My entrepreneurship business plan. Gosh that sucked, I hauled my ass through the whole entire thing and luckily managed to finish, print and submit my assignment 5 minutes before it was actually due. -suicide-

Other than that, things I love this week are:

-instant update-
My phone is updating and reconfiguring. And I type out all my TiLT list in the notepad app... Of all times for this to happen...

Things I Love Thursday will be delayed. In the meantime, I'm reading Julie & Julia by Julie Powell at the moment.

Pretty good book, but I feel sorry for Julie though. Her life is so fraught with anxiety it even makes me look sane. But so far so good, I've only read up to page... 59. It's pretty crazy, her husband is really supportive of her though, its a shame that the Julie character herself is a wreck sometimes.

I hope I don't end up like that... :S

HAHAHAHA. My iPhone is restoring. Hopefully, it'll use the backup... and hopefully the backup files aren't screwed over. Otherwise I'm gonna have a totally new iPhone setup. Oh crap.

...And we wait...

This is real time updating guys.

BAH. 47 apps to sync, this is crazy. I'll just try to remember what I can from the huge ass list...

Converting friends into bronies ♥ Being pampered at Jason's workplace with iced tea, brownies, cheesecake (!) and sammiches ♥ Painting ♥ Spending a day out with mum going shopping and coming home with a new pair of shoes, a cream sweater and a new Twilight Sparkle playset! ♥ Fried rice and oysters ♥ Looking forward to three weeks of semi-relaxed consistent study before exams ♥ 'Good Life' by One Republic ♥ The Gradual Demise of Philippa Finch by Emma Magenta ♥

Those are the few I can poop up in my head right now, when my phone decides to function in english (and not Chinese) I'll let you know.

Hopefully, I'll have a lot more time to update this blog now since uni is going to be a teeny weeny bit nicer to me :)

Thanks for putting up with me and reading all this nonsense :D

Ciao ~

Things I Love Thursday

Oh yes, I know. Late again. My gratuitous weekly schedule is once again, late.

But THIS WEEK. I have fallen in love with a bicycle. A Papillionaire Sommer. It's so beautiful. I want it so much. Since I was 11, I've had my little Huffy bike, but this bike is just drop dead gorgeous.

Look, see.Isn't it just to die for?! I just love the vintage Shimano frame of the Esperia Roma, but this bike makes me fall head over heels.

Well enough about my latest obsession, onto being late and grateful for the week!

My new loves this week are cycling. Lately me and Jason have discovered the joys and adventures of cycling in the inner city! At first, we hired a tandem bike and went around Southbank for about two hours. Had lots of fun, and now have fallen in love with it. We've been hiring out bikes from the cycle hire man at the gardens about four times now.

Since then, we've been hiring out single bikes and ride together for hours around the city. Just last week we cycled and got lost, ended up at West End on an adventure to find the giant duck floating in the middle of the Brisbane River.

The prized duck we cycled two hours for.

Other highlights of this week include (and are NOT limited to) ♥ One year, eleven months ♥ Billingsworth Jnr. (Derpy) ♥ Salmon Eggs Hollandaise ♥ Shoe shopping, and talking about smelly feet with the sales attendant! ♥ Sticky photos ♥ Efficient studying (Shock, horror!) ♥ The River Cafe's salmon ♥ Natalia the otaku and her love for comic book shops ♥ Santos City of Lights ♥ Rolling around in the grass with Jessica and Jason pretending that glow sticks are magic wands (HP!) and having country wars (Malaysia vs Singapore vs Africa) ♥ a rekindled love for One Piece ♥

This is the Esperia Roma, that I ALSO love.

Things I Love Thursday

Moon Festival

Things I Love Thursday is overdue again! I'm sick this time. And it does kind of suck considering I have three assessments that I have not started and are due in three days time. One of them happens to be a speech, and I resent speeches. Yay for me!

Things that have made me happy this week:

Seeing old friends at the moon festival ♥ watching old taped movies ♥ laser light shows ♥ handing out flyers and campaigning for the university student body (Team EPIC!) ♥ taking pictures ♥ comfort in bubble tea ♥ rolling around in bed all day ♥ Friends (I love you Chandler Bing) ♥ Season two of My Little Pony (Being released tomorrow!) ♥ the festy lumps of used tissues that are lying around my bin ♥ and cruise ships!

So excited for travelling later this year too! It's sad to say, but I'm not horribly excited for Vietnam :( I haven't seen my cousins in a very long time and I'm afraid it might be awkward. But singapore! I'm looking forward to that :D

Now it is time for me to eat and watch Friends, and then study my brains out for the next three days. After Tuesday, I can rest a little bit and continue work during the holidays!

Things I Love Thursday

Oh noes, my first things I love Thursday is way overdue!

In all honesty, I totally forgot. And in my defence, I was busy procrastinating uni work.

I've actually had a really relaxed week considering I have so many assessments due, but this week has truly been fabulous! The thing that made me most happy this week actually occurred on a Friday, which technically doesn't make it count but oh well!

It wasn't expected on Friday night when I was planning to stay in the library all night and start my counselling critique but Jason showed up with sushi and a white chocolate mocha (♥) and then afterwards headed out for Southbank for a full course dinner and shopping at the Southbank markets!

It was a whirlwind of adventure! Jason bought me a pretty pretty vintage blue dress from Wind & Water at the markets and it was as oh so lovely as the lady selling them! She was really nice and she and Jason were talking like good old friends, she was so upbeat and she really was great :)

I quote her: 'You went to the bin and you've come back with popcorn! It was expected of you anyway!'

Afterwards, we had dinner at Toscani's. We scoured the whole entire Southbank looking for a place to eat and settled on the small restaurant. The bread we had was so warm and soft and Jason would scoop a tonne of garlic butter for every mouthful of bread he ate. The pasta was very creamy and the Wagyu was very ...red wine saucy haha :)
But the dessert was the best part... four scoops of vanilla ice cream in a waffle cup, topped with chocolate along with creamed raspberries, strawberries and whipped cream. Gosh it was so yummy.. And it was the first time I've had raspberries too!

I don't particularly like it, but I don't particularly like anything that's too sour :)
I actually really wanted the cheesecake, but I enjoyed myself so much that it didn't bother me what we had as long as I was with Jasonnnnnnn harr harr :3

Also earlier that Friday! I was walking through the gardens to uni during the storm and the pouring rain ..and also running a bit late might I add. And ran into this girl at the duck ponds. We were total strangers just walking through the park, her ahead of me. When she stopped to look at the ponds, I walked by and she turned around suddenly, smiled and pointed into the water.

You might not find this very entertaining, but I do! In the water there was this big lizard.. just sitting in the water with his head poking out! We both laughed at the lizard for some time and it was really fun. Something I've never done before, you know? Laughing with a complete stranger. And genuine laughing too, not the polite chuckle kind :)

Anyway, this post is becoming a lot longer than I thought. So here are some other things that have made me happy this week!

Seeing old friends in the library ♥ Debating over which friend is more 'normal' than the other ♥ Dinner with my parents ♥ Early morning breakfast of bacon and eggs at the park ♥ Comforting hugs and smelly feet ♥ Pinkie Pie's RC car ♥ Cat videos on youtube
