Anniversary ♥

It's a bit late to be blogging about this now, and I'm surprised I'm actually blogging at all due to the crazy exams looming!

Well the 20th of October marks the day that Jason and I began dating (for the second time actually.. ) and as of then, we have been together for precisely two years :)

With all the mania of university and such, we actually didn't manage to spend the actual day together. Instead we celebrated our anniversary the day after because it was much more convenient for both of us (and it was also a Friday night, when the night markets are on!).

This is what I wore for the day :)
The dress Jason actually bought for me about a month before, but I never really had a special occasion for it until then! I really really really luuurve this dress, I do!
(The dress is from Wind & Water, they stock beautiful vintage clothing in a few boutiques at the Valley too if you want to check it out! & free shipping until Christmas ♥)

And these wonderful shoes? Jason bought them for me too actually (from L&J Shoe Gallery, if you're wondering).. and yes, I'm rather spoiled aren't I?

I reckon Jason is a (surprisingly!) good model.
It's probably because he has a bubbly butt

Jason being Jason.. = =

We had lunch at Sizzlers in Toowong that day and despite the many food choices and the salad bar... we both chose to eat spaghetti bolognese and potato salad most of the time. Jason really enjoys the pasta and I really enjoy the potatoes. So that's all we ate, pretty much. Apart from consuming a whole load of ice cream and lemon lime bitters.

I'm not even sure how long we were eating. Probably about two hours... we would eat, talk, sit in silence - digesting our food and then continue eating. Jason didn't even want to leave and these were his exact words '...Leanne... let's stay until dinner time, and just sit here and eat all day. It's buffet, right? So we don't have to leave!'

His logic is astounding. But of course, we didn't stay. As much fun as eating EVERYTHING is, I wanted to do other things too hahahaha :)

Jason's chicken malibu.
He doesn't like tomatoes, so he scraped off ALL the tomato stuff on top = =

CHEESY TOAST.

You've no idea how much ice cream we both ate that day

...the aftermath.

After a hearty lunch, we stopped by the Zombster (the comic book shop) to look at everything! And I found... CHOPPER'S HAT! It was so cooooooool, it was like a revelation! I've doted over this hat since I first saw it at Zombster about five years back when I went comic book shopping with uber friend Natalia.

Afterwards, we headed out to the city. Played some arcade games (I won air hockey, like I always do hehe) and bought some bread to feed the ducks at the gardens. And then headed to the night markets at Southbank!

Have I mentioned that I love love love love loooooove markets?

But that day in particular I was on a mission! To find a certain market stall that sold vintage designed jewellery and everything awesome. I was so disappointed when I couldn't find it... but then upon second inspection, I FOUND IT.

I was overjoyed.
TreePartyDesign is owned by a very nice lady who is a graphic designer living in Brisbane. She's suuuuper nice and let me take pictures of her stall! She designs all sorts of cool stuff like brooches, rings, necklaces, pins, badges and earrings!

Aaaaaand, since all her designs are vintage... What else but to associate vintage with Lewis Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland'?!?

Have I also mentioned that I absolutely love love love loooooove Alice in Wonderland?!

You can visit treepartydesign's etsy shop but if you want her full range I suggest you visit her stall at the Southbank markets (every Friday and Saturday, I think..) because you won't be disappointed!

I love these Bambi earrings! I plan to buy them at some point :)

Nothing says 'Alice in Wonderland' as best as teapots and teacups!

Lockets! Aren't they just adorable?!

I also bought a little bunny ring from the stall that day, scroll down and you'll see

I was taking a pretty picture of this tree and then Jason decided it was necessary to photobomb it

After strolling around in the markets, we decided to just.. roll around in the grass really. Bought some food and sat around in the grass eating and laughing and talking about nothing. I don't even remember what we talked about but I do remember that it was a lot of fun and we both did a lot of laughing :)

It was so much fun! We chased each other and spun each other around like crazy! But I get dizzier quicker than he does, so of course he had to pick me up and run around in circles like a crazy chicken, drop me on the ground and watch me crawl around on the grass trying to find my bearings. Oh yes, it was hilarious for him.

I also taught him AJ's rendition of the microwave dance. He is the master of the microwave dance.

Oh yes, this is me collapsed on the grass

Chopper, Chopper, Chopper!

Jason's gift ♥
I lost this same bracelet several months ago, but he got me a new one :)

And by now, I bet you're thinking 'Jason bought you all this nice stuff and you didn't get him anything!' Well fear not! I didn't have the finances to buy him anything nice, so I made him something instead. Let me introduce you to Rainbow Dash.
