a lot of wasted time

LinkSo the next day after a shopping spree and the random rendezvous, it was superly duperly agreed on that I would help Cindy out with her makeup portfolio by lending her my camera and my face. It was actually agreed that we would meet up around 11am, and by golly, I always arrive on time (excluding the instances where I go to class) and as usual, I was right on time!

Waited for Cindy and Chan to arrive for about 15 minutes, and thought... 'it's been a while, maybe I should call them'. They didn't pick up. So I decided to head to uni to bum in the library and use the internet, because by then I'd been waiting for about half an hour with no sign of them or no message such as 'I'm running late, I'll be there soon'

Luckily for me, I ran into Paris and Nhu who were about to go to lunch and so I was like 'OMGTAKEMEWITHYOU, I'VEBEENSTOODUP' and being the awesome people that they are, they let me drag myself with them.

So being a pathetic loser who was stood up (not even by a guy on a date, mind you #sadface) I tagged along and we headed to the markets to see if there were any good foodie stuffs available to snack on.

We stopped by the bestest stall that sells the bestest brownies ever. Have you heard of them? Dello Mano. Even Ashton Kutcher and Oprah love them. Google it!

This guy, is the father of the son who created this whole entire business name. I remember when I had a job and money, I would go to these markets every Wednesday with Jason and talk to this guy. He's so sweet and nice, always giving out free samples and telling us about his business. (That's how we found out his son was the creator of the epic brownies, no stalking involved and no restraining orders required!)

I think their main shop is in Newstead (Shop 10/194 Breakfast Creek Rd) and the brownies sell for $5 a piece. I know its darn expensive, but these babies are good. Amazingly good. Trust me. Right now I am extremely jealous of Oprah, who is like crazy rich and can afford all the brownies she could ever want :(

Did I also mention that they have a whole full rainbow of flavours? You can get the classic (my favourite ♥), peanut butter, ginger and orange, espresso walnut, macadamia, coconut and lime and for those who are allergic to wheat and whatnot, they have gluten free too!

These things are amazing, I like to imagine that for my future wedding (which is nonexistent in the foreseeable future #foreveralone) I'll have these brownies as favours. And for the wedding cake, A GIANT BROWNIE. AND I'LL EAT IT ALL. Mine.

^ And then I'll look like this.

Also, I found these little tartlets adorable toooooo. (Aren't they?!?!) I really want to try the cute little caramel ones, I loooooove caramel ♥ But I'm afraid I don't know much about this stall, all I know is that their sweets are fucking adorable and probably fucking expensive too :(

But I do know that these tartlets are made by some awesome people from Madderz by design who specialize in high tea and event catering. I think these are required for my future nonexistent wedding too. #eatALLthesweets!

Aren't they just adorable?!?! As much as I love them, I won't be able to resist eating them. And thinking about it makes me a little sad inside, but then again.. my stomach will be so happy.

Nhu bought awesome sausage from the German Sausage Hut. Right now, I'm hungry. This post isn't helping at all.

And Paris bought awesome yoghurt. I don't really like yoghurt that much, unless its chocolate. So I feel less bad for writing this post now hahaha

But yeah! So afterwards, we decided it would be nice to bum at Southbank because it was a nice and cool day, so we just basically sat around for hours waiting for Cindy and Chan to arrive. At this point I wasn't too happy about being stood up for hours to help out with someone else' assessment that was due the next day.

Beggars can't be choosers, I say! You need my help, at least show some respect and show up on time! And I DID have a class to attend to that afternoon! (Which I ended up skipping because I had to wait for them! Grr!) But I am so thankful for Paris and Nhu showing up, if it weren't for them I would have just gone home and it would have been a waste of time, and I'd look like a bitch for leaving my friends hanging when I said I would help. Bah, ethics. You screw me over so bad.

So yeah, all we did was bum at the markets and lay around on the grass at Southbank for what was (literally) hours. Like five hours of waiting, really. I did get a phone call but something happened in the connection and stupid blah blah I dunno what happened. But at some point, Jason finished TAFE and came to see us at Southbank and was surprised that Cindy and Chan hadn't shown up yet. So we all ended up bumming on the grass waiting for them = =

And then Jason took photos with his super photography skills.

And we got so damn bored waiting around, we ended up going to the lolly shop nearby and buying a big pack of gummy lollies, chocolates and Jelly Belly jellybeans. Then proceeded to the closest place that sold ice cream. #I'mafatass

It doesn't look like much, but there are a LOT of jellybeans to be eaten in there.

Green tea ice cream! With whipped cream and hot chocolate fudge on top, gosh it was yummy.

Yeah, pretty much the wait of five hours just resulted in four uni kids just sitting around, loitering and eating everything. But luckily, those two did show up for the aforementioned makeup photoshoot. (Thank god.) But you'll see the results in the next post!

Also, as of two days from now, I'll be in Singapore! Gonna go shopping and spend my money (as if I have lots to spare = =). And then after spending three days in Singapore, I'll be in Vietnam. I'll be a millionaire! For once, currency exchange will be at my advantage! I'll try to blog as often as I can, but I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to bring my camera with me :(
